Privacy Policy

Minergi is a career advisory and workforce service for professionals in energy, oil and gas, construction, and related industries, with a focus on opportunities in the Middle East. We publish career education, run advisory and consultation programmes, and connect candidates with recruiters and manpower partners.

PT Tharwa Global Advisory acts as Data Controller for users and services within Indonesia. Minergi Consulting FZE acts as joint controller for activities involving partners and employers in the Gulf and wider Middle East. Both apply the same data protection standards set out here.

We may process the following categories of data:

• Identity and contact: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country or city of residence.
• Professional data you share with us: current and target role, years of experience, discipline, certifications, salary expectations, availability, and destination countries of interest.
• Programme and transaction data: the programmes you enquire about or enrol in, order references, and payment status received from our payment provider.
• Communication data: your messages to us over WhatsApp, email, or event chat, and our replies.
• Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring source, and timestamps.
• Consent records: the content, version, time, and method of the consent you gave.

• Directly from you when you contact us, subscribe, register for an event, or enrol in a programme.
• Automatically as you browse the site, through server logs, analytics, and the advertising tools described below.
• From our payment provider when you complete a checkout, and from advertising and social platforms when you interact with our ads or content there.

We process your personal data on one or more of the following bases:

• Your valid, specific consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• Performance of a contract, including delivering the programme or service you request.
• Compliance with our legal obligations.
• Protection of your vital interests or those of another person.
• Our legitimate interests, such as site security, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where these do not override your rights and freedoms.

• Answer your enquiries and provide support.
• Deliver the programmes, consultations, and events you sign up for, and issue the related confirmations and invoices.
• Send service notifications and, where you agree, newsletters and marketing communications you can opt out of at any time.
• Measure and improve our content, campaigns, and site performance.
• Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
• With your consent, present your profile to employers and recruitment partners for opportunities that match it.

We may share your personal data with:

• Employers, manpower agencies, and recruitment partners in Indonesia and abroad, only on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• Infrastructure and software providers: hosting, email and messaging delivery, analytics, and event platforms.
• Our payment provider, which processes checkout and payment details directly. We do not store your card or bank details.
• Advertising and social platforms, in line with your cookie choices, so we can measure and target our campaigns.
• Professional advisers, auditors, and law enforcement where required by law or valid legal process.

Any third party processing data on our behalf is contractually bound to process it only on our instructions and to apply safeguards equivalent to ours. We do not sell your personal data.

Your data may be stored or accessed outside the Republic of Indonesia, including by hosting, analytics, and advertising providers, and by our partners in the Middle East.

Before any such transfer we ensure the receiving country provides protection equal to or higher than the PDP Law; or that adequate and binding safeguards exist by contract; or that the transfer is based on your consent.

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to remember preferences such as your language choice and to measure aggregate usage of the site.

Some pages load the Meta pixel, which reports page views and content views to Meta so we can measure and target our advertising. Pages that link to a checkout may pass a reference so a purchase can be attributed to the campaign that led to it.

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can limit ad personalisation in your Meta account settings. Some features may stop working if cookies are disabled.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access control on a need-to-know basis, encryption in transit, and activity logging on the systems that hold personal data.

No system is completely secure. Transmission of data over the internet is at your own risk.

If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify you and the competent authority within 3 x 24 hours of becoming aware of it, as required by the PDP Law.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected for: while our relationship continues, as long as needed to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes, or for the period you have consented to.

Once the retention period ends we delete, pseudonymise, or anonymise the data, unless further retention is required by law.

Under the PDP Law you have the right to:

• Be informed of our identity, the legal basis, and the purpose of processing.
• Access and obtain a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erase or destroy your personal data.
• Withdraw consent previously given, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
• Object to processing, including decisions made solely by automated means.
• Postpone or restrict processing proportionately.
• Receive your data in a machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller.
• Claim and receive compensation for violations in the processing of your personal data.

To exercise your rights, email privacy@minergi.id. We will respond within 3 x 24 hours of receiving the request, as required by the PDP Law. We may ask for proof of identity before acting on a request. Deleting certain data may mean we can no longer deliver a programme or service to you.

Our services are intended for adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect children's personal data. Processing of a child's data requires parental or guardian consent. If you become aware that a child has provided us with data, contact privacy@minergi.id and we will delete it.

This site links to our own services, to checkout pages operated by our payment provider, and to third-party sites. A link does not imply endorsement of a third party. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites. Read their privacy policies before providing data.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its update date. For material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email or by a notice on the site.

Questions, rights requests, or objections regarding this Policy can be sent to privacy@minergi.id, or to our support channels listed on the Support page.

If you believe your request has not been handled reasonably, you may lodge a complaint with the personal data protection authority designated under the PDP Law and/or the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and pursue legal remedies available under applicable law.

This Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
